I just brought back some of my arts showed on the last exhibition (supposed to end in January, but just closed yesterday in fact !). Those unique items will be for sell soon, only online, and for a short period (they'll move again to be shown in public around May/June). PRINTED ART DELIVERY
Some of you hesitate to order prints and physical images available on the server, since it's actually unable to evaluate shipping fees out of France. Rest assured all and everything will be made to assist foreign customers in Le Shop. Some little things you should know :
1/ Delivery out of France is billed in a separate transaction from your art order (just to leave you the delivery preference).
2/ Shipping fees are NOT subject to profits ; it includes every cent used to correctly protect ordered item, send it to delivery organization of your choice and pay them for shipping. So what you pay on your Delivery Bill is what you would pay if doing the work yourself.
3/ It is recommended for large prints to use wooden boxes, even if it makes the package heavyer, it the only way to guaranty safe shipping for large fragile artworks.
4/ Tracking option is an obligation for any package value over 10€ (+/- $15).
5/ Insurance is optional, on customers wish.
6/ Custom fees that may apply (or not) are not included.

OTHER NEWS FROM Le Shop
Some information articles are still not fully translated into english. This will change in the close upcoming weeks for the most important parts (About, Customers informations, Terms Of Use...). Feel free to ask any informations if you feel in doubt of anything. Service offers are actually only available for French Metropolitan residents ; some specialties (ordered images, web design...) will be made available internationally soon. And finally, remember that payments can be made via PayPal AND regular Visa Cards !

Not in a so creative mood but hours are precious to complete my project and officially launch it on February 1st : KYESOS.COM - Le Store.

At least, Le Store will be the place where you can legally buy any image you really appreciate. Well, there won't be the whole work even if 14.000+ images online would explain for me what my f*ckin' life was made of (for those who imagine that image work is just like going to toilets). No, I will limit online image stock since some sucks and others deserve to be preserved from commercial abuses.

So, KYESOS.COM - Le Shop will be your place. In love with a picture you'd like to use as wallpaper or for any personal pleasure ? Low res' images are made for you, starting at ridiculous prices ! In love with a digital painting you'd like to share with your visitors ? Buy an original painting or order a limited print in various sizes. And if you're not here to joke and images are your work, maybe you could throw an eye to the exclusive stock images available. Any order of a digital file is instanly delivered in a wide variety of size, from web 800x... low res' files to high definition works over 4000x.... at 300DPI !

So, I shouldn't be there writing this, better at filling my visual database with all those works ! RAZOR BLADE AUDIO SOUP DJ SETS
Yep ! You surely didn't noticed, but last months have been rich in events (and that maybe one of the reasons I didn't updated this journal from so far .

From spring '07, I've been starting new experimentations in the audio world by starting some DJ sessions. Covered styles are wide in the electronica range : from fine cold dancing beats to gothica DeLuxe, I've been spreading sound waves without pretentions through different free sessions at Mark XIII (grenoble / France).

From October, those sets called "Razor Blade Audio Soup" became more popular and reached a wider audience, making them official. At the end of the month, I opened a MySpace to share some audio works and check if its success was real or just a megalomaniac reaction. This answer was clear : it works.

MY XMAS PRESENT FOR YOU ALL :
Since it's always cool to see some work appreciated, I decided to offer a free 80 minutes mix for this christmas. It will be available online on the 25th of december, at 0:00 (local French GMT). To get access to this unique audio mix, all you have to do is to have a MySpace account and get friend with [link] . This will make available to you my bulletins where the URL will be communicated at the last minute.

Well... I'm actually working on different commercial projects, so I don't really have time to explode my screen through personal experimentations. This will change in mid-January where calm will be back... check out my official web site ( hhtp://www.kyesos.com ) for realtime informations.

Petit regain de vigueur pour le Kyesos.com avec l'ouverture récente de la partie "Shop..." qui vient gonfler le nombre de créations présentées dans les galeries déjà présentes. C'est d'ailleurs en garnissant cette galerie que j'ai enfin décidé à faire entrer en phase de production mon 1er tableau-lampe. Celà faisait un moment que ça me trottait dans la tête... voilà la petite histoire :

On remonte quelques années en arrière, en 2001 pour être précis. A cette éoque j'experimentais mes Metaobjets. Des formes plus ou moins abstraites avec un rendu de matière réaliste, sortes de métaux déformés en une bijouterie inhabituelle.

C'est au travers de ces experiences qu'est né l'Aquatic Jewel. Une chose étrange vue par les spectateurs comme un mix en méduse métalloïde et joaillerie organique. L'Aquatic Jewel original se contente d'un simple fond blanc. Sa première édition s'est limitée à un simple A3.

Le tableau fini s'est vu imprimé à sa taille finale en 2003 : 120x70 cm. (il peut ou peut ne plus être disponible à la vente sur mon site web actuellement, à vérifier).

Aprés plusieurs mois à m'éclater sur les impressions grand format, j'ai commencé à re-penser ce dessin. Il avait quelquechose qui me chagrinait, limitait la puissance de sa brillance... et ainsi naquit l'idée d'en faire un tableau rétro-éclairé. Je me mit donc en recherche de solutions à la fois simple et efficace pour arriver à mon but.

L'idée est simple : une boite, des néons, un fond d'aluminium, un interupteur et roulez !!! Le projet est maintenant en production et vous pourrez le découvrir trés prochainement en situation, puisque dans les créa' récentes ci-contre vous ne pouvez voir qu'un aperçu du projet en format HDTV.

Well, there seems to be some activity on my Kyesos.com with the recent opening of the "Shop...", increasing the quantity of artwork already avalaible for viewing in the galleries. And that's while I was working in including new material on the site that I finally decided to complete an old project : my first lighted-painting. Here's the story :

Well, this one started few years ago... in 2001 to be precise. At this era, I was experimenting with my MetaObjects, some strong abstract shapes with metallic aspect, sort of die-cast jewelry with unusual look.

That's through those experiences that the Aquatic Jewel 1st born. A strange thing viewer use to comment as metalloid medusa or organic jewelry. The Aquatic Jewel originally lays on a simple white background. It's first edition in A3 size was like this. The original painting was finally edited in 2003 in its full size : 120x70 cm. (it may or may not be still available for sell on my website ; just check it)

After few months playing with high dimensions prints, I started to re-think this particular drawing. So shiny... then the idea to backlight it emerged. I searched slowly but finally found the best way to make it a lighted painting.

The idea is quite simple : a box, some neons, aluminium background, an interuptor, and let the show begin ! The project is now a production and you will soon discover the real painting in situation, since the image I left on D.A. is just a HDTV preview of the work.
